On the November 21, 2016, the representatives of the Format Center together with the founder and director of the Eco Company, Suad Eco, visited the Center for Business Development within the Department for Economy and Local Economic Development of the Municipality Novi Grad Sarajevo.

During the meeting it was discussed about the potential forms of cooperation through support to business sector and unemployed people.

Mayor of the Municipality Novi Grad Sarajevo, mr. Semir Efendic said that the Municipality Novi Grad Sarajevo demonstrated its strategic and operational commitment to support the economy and the strengthening of human resources through the implementation of active employment policy and support the economy, the establishment of its Centre for Business Development, and establishing partnerships with companies. This goal can be achieved through networking with local companies, re-training, professional development and training of the unemployed persons and provision of quality employment services.

In the previous period, representatives of the Center visited a large number of companies and provided a qualitative analysis of needs, in order to create activities for the 2017 year. One of the activities will be professional development and training of staff for the wood industry.

Director of Eco Company and founder of the Center Format pointed out that he has been recognized the problem of finding quality personnel managing his company and therefore, four years ago, with the support of the Swiss program Opportunity Plus he has founded the Center Format. Since then they have developed programs for promising occupations in this industry, trained about 100 people of which only the Eco Company employed 60 persons. In addition to the adult education, Center Format works to strengthen professional practice in schools and faculties in order to create competence and better preparation for participation in the labor market.

Networking and the creation of this type of partnership is another prove of the Municipality Novi Grad Sarajevo devotion for development of the business sector aiming toward employment and a better future for the citizens.
